Tea degustation & other stories

"Each cup of tea represents an imaginary voyage." - Catherine Douzel

Yesterday me and my friend went to our first tea-degustation and came back home, charmed enough to plan the next tea event we'll be going to. It was more than euphoria of the senses, for such a tea lover as me... The cafe was crowded the moment we got there and after few minutes of orders, noise and wiggle we were submerged in silence, in order to listen to the great world history of tea. After some interesting tea-facts we were offered 8 different types of tea (there was one we didn't managed to try with coconut and pineapple)... I'm posting photos of the great two-hour event, held by the owners of a successful tea business, connection between Germany and Bulgaria - a husband(he was the one from Germany) and wife, sharing an unique interest and teaching other people about it.
For those two hours we were immersed in the refined tea world of the English queen, touched all kinds of different cultures and were brought to the most peaceful and plesent atmosphere of flavors, colors and odors...

This was the view of the tea presentation from our places
This was the table with the boiled tea, cookies, sugar and the packed tea for sale
White tea
~ The first tea we drank was the white one. Not only it smelled like spring and sweet corn, but it was the best tea I've treid in my life so far(and they're many). I strongly recommend it! ~

Apple and cinnamon tea
~ I love cinnamon and apples are one of my favorite fruits, so you may guess I loved the tea as well. Just the smell of those two ingredients together makes you wanna try it. ~

Green tea "Bluesky"
~ Yeah, it was a green tea that didn't tasted like fish at all. It actually contains lemon and rose and smells like mint. It's refreshing, so even if you're not into the green tea, it's worth trying it. ~

Chocolate and mint tea
~ Surely it sounds good - sweet chocolate and cool mint. But in a tea... They don't make such a great duet. I was least impressed by this one. ~

Black tea with rose
~ It doesn't smells like roses as you think it does, but it's a quite nice tea. Strong as black tea, it'll make you feel dizzy for sure, but it's all worth. ~

Pure Green tea "Gunpowder"
~ This is a pure green tea, without any other supplements and it doesn't really tastes nasty or weird. It's more like a neutral taste, but it's too ordinary for me. ~

Black tea with sugar hearts
~ How smart is that? This tea contains little pink sugar hearts, which melts from the hot water! It's special created for Valentine's Day and it's the second best tea I've ever tried. Just the smell itself is sweet and makes you LOVE it right away! ~

You can buy all kinds of tea and supplies, and read different facts and information on
TeaTeam's site

Funny enough, in pursuit not to spill my tea by passing trough the small and crowded cafe, I (clumsy me) even managed to trip in a part of a long plant and knock off it's pot of a high shelf, right to the ground! :D I managed to get away without any damages or anyone being hurt/killed, and altough all of the people looked at me objectionable, I considered it as a succsses... After all, what is a tea party, without little fun mess?!

Drink more tea, flare catchers! :)
